What I have been doing since I left social media
mindfulnessYesterday, I posted how I deleted all of my social media accounts. I even refrain from watching YouTube and endlessly read through Reddit. I want to address what I have been doing in the time away from social media and the online presence I once had.
By disconnecting from the digital clutter that was taking time away from me, I was able to check in with reality. I was able to go through my tasks, long-term action items and a list of things I would like to do if 'I had time'.
What I have been doing since I left social media
I won't write extensively here, so I will leave you with a list:
- Start reading the books I wanted to read.
- Spend time IRL with friends and family.
- Play football and basketball with my son.
- Journal, both physical and digital.
- Meditate (daily).
- Exercise and eat healthier (1 stone lost in weight so far).
- Start my NPQ SENCO Leadership course for work (school).
- Start a Dyslexia level 2 course.
- Watch movies that were gathering dust on my Wishlist.
- Organised my finances and started saving.
- Go to bed early, so I have more energy in the day.
- Keep my house in order (it's the tidiest it has been in a long time).
- Learn how to use Capacities properly.
- Go places I wanted to visit, including concerts, cinema and restaurants.
There are many more things I have done in my time away from social
media, but I thought I would list the few that I know I would have found
difficult to do if I was endlessly doomscrolling through life right now.

As always, thank you reading.
