Hi, I’m Mark. I work in the education sector in England. I have been blogging since the start of 2023. I am interested in minimalism (inc. digital), stoicism, mindfulness, and technology.
I spent fifteen years in the IT sector. First as a Toshiba Certified Engineer, where I gained the skills to build and repair PCs and laptops. Twelves of this stint were based at a local council, where I supported over 100 schools with software/network admin duties.
After leaving the IT profession, I headed to university as a mature student, achieving a first-class honours degree in Education with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Furthermore, I went on to teaching primary students for three years before switching to one-to-one interventions in a SEMH setting.
When I’m not working, I like to write blogs about my interests, post reviews and journal significant events throughout the year. You will occasionally see me quit one or more of my social media platforms while I take a digital detox. This blog exists to keep the content I publish if I were to delete my social media accounts.
