Minimalist May - Days 29 and 30

challenge

Apologies for not updating yesterday. It was a busy day with plenty of adventuring out without spending much money apart from parking. It was my fourteenth wedding anniversary on Wednesday, so I had been busy spending it with my wife and son. We ended up going to a place nearby that we love to go to rest.

The Pavilion Gardens in Buxton is a favourite of ours. Of course, my son loves to take his basketball because they have a court in the park area. My wife equally likes the place as there’s plenty of shops and beautiful architecture to admire.

Diet

WED
Breakfast — White toast with low-fat spread.
Lunch —  Cheese sandwich.
Tea — Homemade lasagna (curtesy of my mother-in-law).
THU
Breakfast — White toast with low-fat spread.
Lunch —  Half a pepperoni pizza.
Tea — tortellini spinach pasta, red pesto and four mozzarella sticks.

Finance

I feel like I’ve done well over the past two days. I managed to avoid going out for a meal on Wednesday, which helped out with me saving my money. Pay day is tomorrow (Friday) and I forgot I got paid overtime for staying one Saturday to complete my first aid course. The extra money can go directly into my savings account.

Caffeine

Both days were like most recently. I have avoided any coffee or caffeinated beverages.

Exercise

WED - 2x 60-second planks, 15 press-ups, and 30 minutes of basketball with my son. If it counts, clearing out the garage, which involved a lot of heavy lifting.
THU - 2x 60-second planks, 15 press-ups, 30 minutes of basketball with my son, and 5K on the cross trainer.

Sleep

I have managed to get two nights of quality sleep. Having switched my alarm off, I have been able to relax more. I will turn my alarms back on at some point this weekend.

My post is part of #WeblogPoMo2024. Stay tuned for tomorrow's post.
