Minimalist May - Day 7
challenge
Today marks one week since I started the challenge for May. In that time, I have formed some positive routines and lost four pounds in weight.
Diet
Again, I had a successful day on this front. The only exception is a Muller low-fat strawberry yoghurt at lunch. I slipped up here. However, 6.2g of sugar (and no added sugar) isn’t going to hurt my efforts right now.Finance
Nothing to report apart from avoiding any expenditure. Month on month, I am doing a lot better, so I believe my focus is helping me towards saving more money in May.Caffeine
Yep. I did it again. I went the whole day without a caffeinated drink. What I need to remember is some carbonated drinks contain caffeine. I believe I will be better off removing fizzy drinks altogether. There was no sign of a headache, too.Exercise
I kept up with my usual exercise routine in the morning. After work, I decided to go for a walk along the canal and admired the countryside scenery (see photos below). There was plenty to see and hear along the way. I felt completely relaxed. In the evening, I hit the weights, completed a hundred-second plank as well as 12 press-ups.Sleep
I had a great night’s sleep. I feel my body is starting to feel the benefits of an additional ninety minutes of sleep each day. Furthermore, I am not as restless as I was before I quit caffeine. Another win in my estimation.Photos from my walk
