Minimalist May - Day 27
challengeFour days to go! I can do this. There’s something inside me that feels some of these habits will stick with me.
In the afternoon, I got the opportunity to hold the EFL League Two trophy at my local pub. The football (soccer) team I support, Stockport County, were going to different places in the area with their champions cup for winning the session. My son loved the experience.
Diet
Breakfast — Porridge pot
Lunch —
Tuna pasta with sweetcorn.
Tea — Chicken burger
with salad and lemon couscous.
I had a real urge to eat biscuits today, especially ones that are coated in chocolate. I’m not one who needs chocolate, but I was craving it a lot during the evening.
Finance
I opened a savings account to put some a good chunk of money in the account. A few months ago, I wouldn’t have imagined being in the position of opening a savings account.
With four days to go, I could even double my savings at this rate. However, my plan is to save enough to say I live off last month’s wages.
Caffeine
No caffeine again. I’ve said this before, but quitting caffeine is so much easier than avoiding the junk food.
Exercise
I performed my usual press-up and plank routine in the morning. Before I had lunch, I went for a walk up to the high point near my home to look over the vale (see images below).
Sleep
I felt I had a good night’s sleep and a sleep-in as I turned my alarm off. I have to take my son to the opticians tomorrow morning, so I will have to make sure I get up on time.
