Minimalist May - Day 25
challenge
Six days and counting until the challenge is over. I’m near the
end. I can’t complain too much because the challenge has encouraged me
to start writing again.
Diet
Breakfast - Two crumpets with low-fat spread (a very British thing to
do).
Lunch - Cheese sandwich with low-fat mayo.
Tea - Sweet
and sour chicken with stir-fry. I tried a handful of small sweet chilli
rice crackers, which were a great side treat.
Finance
No spending, again. I adjusted the money I pay my wife towards my car lease and the mortgage contribution. For some reason, the banking app said I had cancelled two standing orders for my wife and son's mobile contracts. I will have to have a proper look into it tomorrow.
Caffeine
Again, my caffeine consumption was zero. My wife bought me a jar of Kenco decaf coffee. I will try it on the first of June when the challenge officially finishes as celebratory drink.
Exercise
I managed to get the plank and press-ups completed in the morning. For my cardio, I played football with my son in the garden for forty minutes. My heart rate certainly got pushed during the session. Having great weather today made the experience more pleasurable than it has been in recent, rainy days.
Sleep
I slept well. Unfortunately, I had to wake up early to take my son to his basketball game. His side won, which is great because the other team are difficult to win against. I need to wake up early again tomorrow morning as my son has basketball training.
I’ve decided I am going to turn my alarm off for the week because I am off work for the week.
My post is part of #WeblogPoMo2024. Stay tuned for tomorrow's post.
